Pollinator Container Garden Workshop with Beth Riley. The population of pollinators like honey bees, butterflies, birds, bats and other animals are in serious decline due to problems like disease, climate change, poor nutrition, chemical use, and habitat loss. In this hands-on workshop, participants will do their part to make sure that local pollinators have enough food within their flight range to thrive. Guided by Beth Riley, participants will build their own container garden while learning gardening basics, such as light, soil, fertilizing, and companionable plants. This beautiful and beneficial container garden will be sure to attract pollinators throughout the growing season. PLEASE NOTE: Each student must bring their own gardening gloves and a container with drainage. CONTAINER DIMENSIONS: 18-20” high with mouth opening not larger than 18-20” wide $50 per Student/$45 METC Members and Seniors
