2017 Art/Photo contest. The Friends of Wallisch Homestead is please to announce their 3rd Annual Art and Photography Exhibition will be held Friday June 9th to June 11th . The subject matter is open this year with the only restriction being material‎ should be in good taste, non political and no advertising material. Awards will be presented in several categories. This year, in addition to art and photography, any type of media will be allowed. There have been 2 video presentations submitted in the past. Anyone interested in providing video and/or any other type of media should contact the Friends of Wallisch for display parameters through their email address wallischhomestead@gmail.com. ‎Awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each of the many categories. (See below for categories.)Professional artists will judged the entries. A People’s Choice award will also be voted on by the public in each category at the completion of the exhibition. Preregistration is required and will be available on this page. A nominal registration fee of $25 is required and due to space limitations entries will be limited to 3 pieces.All works are to be dropped off Saturday, June 3rd between 10AM-3PM (the weekend after Memorial Day) at the Homestead (65 Lincoln Ave West Milford, NJ) and should be securely mounted and wired for hanging. The committee will ‎judge the acceptability of subject matter for presentation and ‎their determination, as well as the judges determinations, will be final. Display will be open Friday June 9th from 5PM to 8PM, Saturday and Sunday June 10th and 11th, from 9AM to 3PM.Pick-up and last day of showing will be on June 11th from 3PM to 5PM. This exhibition is open to all professional, amateur and student photographers, artist and film makers submitting their original works. Media for show can be: Photography, Painting, Drawing, Sculpture,Film or Video. Categories include: Architecture, Nature/Landscape, People, Still life and Wildlife/Animals. Receiving day for all entries is Saturday June 3rd from 9am-3pm at the barn at the Wallisch Homestead 65 Lincoln Ave West Milford, NJ. All hanging entries; Art and Photo must be ready to hang, wire hanging preferred All entries must be appropriate for all ages! If you have any questions about your entries appropriateness please contact The Friends of Wallisch Homestead. All submissions will be handled with reasonable care. The Friends of Wallisch Homestead and any volunteers shall not be responsible for damage, loss or theft. Submitting an entry in this exhibition shall imply agreement on the part of photographer, artist, sculptor or film maker with all of the conditions outlined in this prospectus. Winning entries will be posted on their website in non-reproducible form. Awards will be presented for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place and people choice in each media format. There will be a special Wallisch Homestead Award for best piece of art, photography, Film and sculpture depicting the Wallisch Homestead. You must arrange to have your entries picked up on Saturday June 11th between 3PM and 5PM.
