"As temperatures continue to stay high its important that our residents find ways to cool down," said New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine. "We want to help people take a break from the heat so we are waiving admission fees at all open state swimming areas on Thursday." "Extreme heat can be very dangerous causing heat stroke and other heat related illnesses," said Commissioner Jackson. "We appreciate Governor Corzines concern and his decision to make these swimming areas accessible to the public during this heat wave." The following is a list of open state swimming areas that will offer free admission on Thursday.
