old and spooky!

Hello, When I was a little girl, I lived in Cresskill, my beloved Cresskill; I was born in Teaneck and now live in CA.
Well, I used to play with a friend in a spooky place, at least, it was to us. It was in the then, new area of Cresskill, new houses were being built. This was back in the early 1960's and late 50's.
This place was so old, my friends's dad played there, it has old rod iron gates, and inside, pools that were laiden with beautiful mosaic tiles.
The place was gigantic, and I remember a very, very old house and being chased out by dogs, but my friend and I would go back and dare one another to go inside, anyway.
We called it, 'Reonders', but We never knew anything about this place, just that it was manshion-like and very old.
To me, it was beauty, I wonder if anyone out there knows what I am talking about, please contact me if you care to, anyone from New Jersey would be wonderful to hear from! Thank you, Christine
