Living History in Northern New Jersey
Grand Reopening of Ringwood Manor
Ringwood, New Jersey
10 am til 4 pm on Saturday, April 12, 2014
Ringwood Manor
1304 Sloatsburg Road
Ringwood, New Jersey
The final anniversary we want to celebrate is the 75th anniversary of Ringwood Manor's dedication to the citizens of New Jersey!Erskine Hewitt donated the Manor to the State in 1936, and his nephew, Norvin Green, donated additional land and the contents of the Manor in September of 1938. But it wasn't until June of 1939 that the Manor was dedicated and opened to the public. And we are so pleased to celebrate the 75th anniversary by announcing the reopening of the site! The conservation work is almost complete, the furnishings are being set up, and Ringwood Manor will be reopening on Saturday, April 12th!! The public is invited to walk through the interior to see the completed work and participate in a number of Victorian activities taking place on the grounds that day. Be sure to check our events tab not only here on facebook, but also on our website, for more details about the celebration! Hope to see you there!
