Our annual autumn hike will be held on Sunday, November 11th. Hikers will meet 10AM at the NJ Transit park-and-ride lot on Old Rt. 23 in West Milford. From the north or south take Rt. 23 to the light at Old Rt. 23 (just south of Union Valley Rd). Follow this road east about 200 yards to the parking lot on the right. No pre-registration required. We will car-pool from there to the trailhead (just a few miles away) so please arrive before by 9:45 to ensure a prompt start.



The hike will tour Bearfort Mountain with spectacular forests, abundant wildlife and stellar views. The trail is not flat, but is not extremely steep, and we will cover the 3-mile route at a leisurely pace. Our hikes are about enjoyment, not aerobics. A lunch break will be held at 12:30 and the hike should finish by 2:30-3:00 PM. Bring lunch and a drink. This event is rain or shine (within reason). Let’s go!
