â€œThe Olympics of the Mindâ€

At the USA Memory Championship, â€œMental Athletesâ€ from around the country

compete in brain-breaking events including the memorization of: a string of

500 random numbers, two decks of shuffled cards, over 100 names and faces, an

unpublished poem with all its punctuation, and more.

The winner will represent the USA at the World Memory Championships in the

fall of 2013.
