Trout Stocking Canceled at Verona Park Pond
Recreation - rt23.com News Center

April 01, 2003 (rt23 news) - According to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Fish and Wildlife, Verona Park Pond, a 13-acre impoundment located in Essex County will not be stocked with trout this spring as originally scheduled. The cancellation is the result of an on-going lake rehabilitation project that will not be completed until the end of May.

The final stage of the project will require the lake to be lowered approximately 3-4 feet during the spring stocking season. Once completed, the lake will be refilled and stocked with bass and channel catfish.
