Join Volunteer Preserve Monitor Rick Weiman, NJAS Board Member and Naturalist Barbara Brummer, and Sanctuary Director Karla Risdon for an interpretive hike through one of the largest forested tracts in the area. We will take some time to identify and enjoy many of the 380 plant species found on the Preserve, and look and listen for resident birds. The cost of the hike is $8 per person, with a $3 discount for members of the New Jersey Audubon Society. Participants should bring a snack and drinking water. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. To register, mail name, address, phone number, and payment to NJAS’ Weis Ecology Center, 150 Snake Den Road, Ringwood, NJ 07456. Make checks payable to the Weis Ecology Center. For more information, contact the Weis Ecology Center office at (973) 835-2160 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Wednesday through Sunday, or visit us online at www.njaudubon.org.
