This two-day workshop will introduce you to the skills needed to learn basic rock-climbing and “top-roping� techniques. The goal of this course is to have the first time climber become self sufficient so he or she can go out on their own and set up secure systems for climbing. Instruction will cover equipment, equipment inspections and limitations, climbing techniques, belaying skills, anchors, rappelling methods, RENE theory and implementation and classic top rope setups.
