Victorian House Tour, admission $25 advance to $30 at door. Take this opportunity to step back in time and experience how the founders of Mount Tabor would have lived in a summer wooded retreat.



Visitors will be able to experience the unique charms of this historic Victorian Camp Meeting community during the Mount Tabor Historical Society’s 22nd annual historic House Tour on Saturday, September 26, 2015. This event provides the best opportunity to get an inside look at more than 15 Victorian cottages, community buildings and sites that will be open to the public during that day.



Special events include a display of heritage quilts as well as an art show. Also on view will be a reproduction of a camp meeting tent, furnished in traditional camp meeting style. Box lunches will be available for sale.



During the House Tour, visitors may tour the Richardson History House, a camp meeting cottage museum. Docents will explain the restoration that is in progress thanks to a construction grant from the Morris County Historic Trust for required structural work. Don’t miss seeing this historic gem, as the interior is remarkably unchanged from the camp meeting days.
