Watchung, NJ - The New Art Group gives the word Catalyst a whole new meaning in their annual March exhibit at the Watchung Arts Center. Catalyst will be on display from March 1 - March 31, 2017 in the Heinz Otto Gallery at The Watchung Art Center, at 18 Stirling Road in Watchung, NJ. The opening reception will be held on Sunday, March 5th from 1-4pm, featuring artist talks, great wine and an opportunity to network. The exhibit title and theme came about through the influence and inspiration that the group leader, Jim Fuess, gave to the members over the years. Jim, who was the founder and director of the New Art Group for about 20 years, passed away four years ago. He was a painter who created abstract works that were filled with intense colors and intricate patterns of motion. Jim became a "Catalyst" and driving force to each artist in the group who bring their own style and vision to the new works. It is with gratitude, admiration and respect that the New Art Group honors the legacy that belongs to Jim Fuess.
