Who are the real stars of a summer night? Is it the insects; buzzing, whirring and chirping away; or is it Cassiopeia, Drago, and Pegasus waltzing across the star-filled sky? Learn about both from Weis Staff Naturalist Lisa Montagnino. After a discussion of the constellation myths and legends, visit with some creatures of the night and then head to our game field for some leisurely stargazing. Please bring your own blanket for a comfortable night of watching the sky. In fact, this program is being offered close to the peak time for observing the Perseid Meteor Showers!
Rain/Cloud date for the outdoor portion is August 11th, 8:15 – 9:00 pm. Pre-registration is a must for this program, which is being limited to 40 participants. The cost of this program is $8 per participant with a discounted rate of $5 for New Jersey Audubon members. Family costs (Parent/ child) will be a maximum of $20 for members and $32 for nonmembers.
