Join hike leader Charlie Toole for this moderate, 4.5 mile hike through tracts of sun-warmed, State Forest land. This end-to-end hike travels the Highland trail over Harrison Mountain and Horse Pond Mountain south of the Monksville Reservoir before descending to the Long Pond Iron Works. Hikers should pack a lunch and plenty of water. Pre-registration is required as space is limited to 25 participants. The cost for the program is $8 per participant with a $3 discount for Members of New Jersey Audubon Society. Since registration is limited, please mail your name, address, phone number, number of participants and a check payable to Weis Ecology Center.
