Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) Walk. Fee: $10; please call (973) 786-6445 by Friday, July 13 to pre-register. Pre-registration is required as space is limited to 11. Call early - these walks fill up quickly! Meet at the Kittatinny Valley State Park Visitor Center For adults. Led by our certified instructor, this 1-mile guided nature immersion incorporates the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, or “forest bathing” and promotes health and wellbeing through contact with nature using sensory awareness and mindfulness activities. Shinrin-yoku walks have been shown to reduce stress, lower blood pressure, elevate mood, boost the immune system, and improve sleep.
