n 2016 the Passaic County Historical Society was the recipient of a working DuMont Westminster entertainment center. Built right here in Passaic County and debuted in 1946, the Westminster not only contains a television but also a record player and AM/FM radio. When this piece was donated to the Society, the Society was asked to provide the public with demonstrations, in the hope that more people can be exposed to and learn about Passaic County’s important role in telecommunications history. To that end, a member of our staff will be conducting monthly, scheduled demonstrations. All demonstrations are free with regular museum admission. Seating available upon request only. Demonstrations are approximately 45 minutes in length. If you are making a class or group visit and would like a demonstration, please mention this request when you book and our staff will try to accommodate you.
