THE JAPANESE GARDEN FESTIVAL. Join Japanese Garden Builder Asher Browne for a presentation on the concepts, principals, and elements that compose a Japanese garden. Learn various aspects of bringing Japan’s beauty to America, and enjoy iced green tea and mochi ice cream following the lecture. At 2:45 p.m., join Toshio Okimatsu, President of the Ikebono N. Y. Tachibana Chapter, and discover the 500-year-old art of Ikebana flower design. Tour the Woodland Walk, or take a leisurely walk on your own.
