5K Turkey Trot - 9th Annual

When: Thanksgiving morning, burn those calories before you eat them!!

Registration: 8:00 AM

Start Time: 9:00 AM

Where: Green Pond Fire House

Distance: 5K - 3.1 miles (within village)

Donation: $35/adult, $20/child (13 or under) after Nov. 10th. Children in strollers are free!

Pre-Register by Nov. 10th to guarantee shirt size and also save $5/pp ($30/adult, $15/child).

All proceeds benefit the Green Pond Fire Department.

Prizes: 1st Place Overall Men and Women, 1st Place Boys and Girls Under 13, First Responder with Bunker Gear, and Best Costume.

See registration form below. Checks made payable to Green Pond Fire Department (includes t‑shirt). Drop off payment and registration forms for each participant to the Black Drop Box on Front of Firehouse Building or mail to: GPVFD, 10 Dump Road, Newfoundland, NJ 07435.

You can pay using Venmo @ GPVFD as well. Please just make a note on the registration form that you are doing so.

This event is for Green Pond and Lake End residents and invited guests only.

Limited parking behind the firehouse.

Brink your mask! A mask will be required at check-in and at the start/finish of the race. Social distancing also requires. We are considering sending off runners/walkers in waves (short duration in between waves) to help space out people along the course. Bagels and coffee will not be available this year.

New this year....participate in this event VIRTUALLY. This will allow anyone across the country to support us. Run your own Turkey Trot from wherever you want on Thanksgiving Day. Make it fun, dress up, show us your pics! T-shirts will be mailed. Additional shipping charges may apply. Please write VIRTUAL on the registration form mailed to us and ensure you provide your full contact information and mailing address.

By joining us for a walk or a run this Thanksgiving, you’re not only doing good for your physical, mental, and emotional health, but also supporting the Green Pond Volunteer Fire Department.
