Monday, February 14: Pyramid Mountain Natural Historic Area, 472 Boonton Avenue, Montville Township, 07045 (intersection of Mars Court and Boonton Avenue). Identifying trees in winter gets a bit more complicated without the leaves to help you, but once you begin to look closely, differences in bark, buds and branching patterns come to light.
