Enjoy a self-guided family friendly hike in the state park woodlands at NJBG. Weather permitting, you can climb to the Mt. Defiance overlook and return, or choose our alternate hike without the climb. Wear sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothes. Small children may need to be carried. Stop at the Carriage House Visitor Center between 1 and 2 PM to pick up a map and hike directions. Allow 90 minutes for the hike. Rain cancels. Free, donations appreciated.
