The Summer Institute for the Gifted proudly presents its first joint New Jersey Conference for Educators of the Gifted in conjunction with Rowan University entitled:
“The Social and Emotional Needs of the Gifted: Forsaken or Forgotten?”
Keynote Presenter: F. Richard Olenchak, Ph.D., P.C.
Professor, Psychologist, and Director of the Urban Talent Research Institute at the University of Houston, and President
The interactive keynote address surrounding the conference theme will discuss a newly-created system for instigating suitable affective school-based services for gifted students.
Dr. Olenchak will also lead a breakout session entitled “Social and Emotional Differentiation: Serving Gifted Students’ Greatest Need”
Additional breakout sessions by local presenters will be offered in
various topics related to the conference focus.
