This is a great opportunity for everyone in the family to learn about the fascinating facets of those beautiful acrobatic insects that float through our backyards and decorate our gardens, butterflies! The Blewett Family will share information on the butterfly's life cycle; Project Monarch Watch and tagging butterflies, host plants, nectar sources, and other butterfly gardening basics. There will be hands-on activities to help little ones learn about butterflies too! Butterflies for families will run on Sunday, September 21, starting at 1:30 and ending at 3:30 pm.

The cost of Butterflies for Families is $8 per person, with a $3 discount for members of the New Jersey Audubon Society. Family maximum is $20 for members and $32 for nonmembers. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. To register mail your name, address, phone number, the number of participants and payment to: NJAS' Weis Ecology Center, 150 Snake Den Road, Ringwood, NJ 07456.
