Join the Weis Ecology Center's Weis Wyanokie Wanderers hiking club for a challenge hike to Schunnemunk Mountain. Excellent physical fitness is required for the pace is fast and the terrain is steep. Hike leader Don Weise will lead this very strenuous 8-mile hike on Sunday, September 14 and will begin at 9:30am. Highlights of this hike include visiting multiple ridge tops, the Megaliths and bird's eye views of the Catskills, Gunks, Storm King, and Breakneck Mountains. This hike does not meet at Weis Ecology Center, directions to the meeting place will be sent upon registration. Proper footwear is required. Be sure to bring plenty of water and a lunch.

The cost of the challenge hike is $8 per person, with a $3 discount for members of the New Jersey Audubon Society. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. To register mail your name, address, phone number, the number of participants and payment to: NJAS' Weis Ecology Center, 150 Snake Den Road, Ringwood, NJ 07456.
