The Journeys of American-Africans. Bankee and Frank Stewart are "American-Africans" whose ancestors, as with many African-Americans, were originally brought to the U.S. via the slave trade. But after the U.S. Civil War, many blacks emigrated from the U.S. to Africa to establish the nation of Liberia. Now, as a result of civil war in Liberia, the Stewarts have immigrated to the U.S. This free program, presented by theWarren County Human Relations Commission, discusses the inter-continental migration experiences of the Stewarts and their family and friends. Refreshments served. 7pm, Warren County Community College, 475 Route 57 West, Washington. Call 908-689-2717 or email generalinfo@wchrc.org.
