The Sierra Club presents Jim Burchell, Director of Peaceworks, a small nonprofit organization working with communities in Nicaragua. He will provide an overview of his work emphasizing the promotion of fair trade coffee, the fight for control of water resources, and the impact of poverty on the environment. He will also provide a glimpse of some of the wonderful ecological projects in the region, like the Mombacho cloud forest preserve.
