Lecture: The Comforts of Home: 19th Century Household Technology. Merritt Ierley will discuss the changes in heating, lighting, water, use of space, and furnishings in American homes through the 19th century. Mr. Ierley is a social historian and author of eight books. His latest book is Wondrous Contrivances: Technology at the Threshold. There will be an opportunity for book signing.
