Join the celebration at an old-fashioned barn raising at Long Pond Ironworks this Saturday, May 22, beginning at 11am. There will be activities and food to enjoy as we watch the reconstruction of the historic Cahill barn. The barn, originally located on Westbrook Rd., was donated to the Friends of Long Pond Ironworks and was dismantled four years ago. Now it will rise again and provide storage space as well as help interpret the importance of farming and draft animals to the ironmaking community.
