Emeralds and Rubies are never more precious than when they combine to form these elegant garden jewels. Presented by Program Director, Philip De Rea, this outdoor class will teach you all about the Ruby-throated hummingbird's perilous life, how to attract these chittering dynamos to your yard, and keep them coming back. This program is offered on four dates: Saturdays, August 7th and August 21st, Wednesday, August 18th, and Sunday, August 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Pre-registration is required. The August 7th program will be followed by an Introduction to Butterfly Gardening workshop, so why not sign up for both!
The cost of the program is $10 per person, with a $4 discount for members of the New Jersey Audubon Society and includes handouts. To register mail your name, address, phone number, the number of participants and payment to: NJAS' Weis Ecology Center, 150 Snake Den Road, Ringwood, NJ 07456.
