Ringwood - The Weis Ecology Center invites you to come learn the basics of feeding wild birds in winter. What works depends on your yard and which species you want to attract. Bring your questions along with plans or a photograph of your yard to the Weis Ecology Center so that naturalist Philip De Rea can help you make the best choices in feeders, seed type, and placement. This workshop will be held on Sunday, October 3rd at 1:30pm. If you are interested in setting up a bird feeder but cannot make this time, other sessions will be held on Sunday, November 7 and Saturday, December 11.
The cost of Backyard Birdfeeding is $8 per person, with a $3 discount for members of the New Jersey Audubon Society. The cost of this workshop can be applied to a bird feeder or accessory purchase made in Weis' NJAS Nature Store the day of the workshop. Pre-registration is required as space is limited. To register mail your name, address, phone number, the number of participants and payment to: NJAS' Weis Ecology Center, 150 Snake Den Road, Ringwood, NJ 07456.
