The Players Guild of Leonia announces an additions night of Auditions for: AS BEES IN HONEY DROWN [By Douglas Carter Beane]; directed by Ray Yucis.
When: Tuesday March 22 at 7:30 pm.
Show Dates: three weekends, June 10 – 26, 2005. Fridays & Saturdays @ 8:00pm, Sundays @ 3:00pm.
Evan Wyler, a newly successful young novelist, meets Alexa Vere de Vere, a...producer? Agent? She's definitely mysterious, fast-talking, & elusive! A delicious satire about the glamorous life of fame, fancy restaurants & hotels by which many characters are willingly lured & seduced. Cast of 6 (3 men, 3 women) as follows:
•Alexa Vere de Vere: (30-ish) Vivacious, charismatic, very verbal.
•Evan Wyler:(late 20s/early 30s) Young idealistic writer who is all too willing to be seduced by the glamorous life of fancy restaurants, top hotels, & allure of fame.
•2 Men, 2 Women (varying ages): These four actors play all other characters (rock stars, hotel clerks, struggling artists, recording executives, secretaries, waiters, etc.). Versatility a must!
