Friday-Sunday, July 22-24: Ole Towne Festival. Phillipsburg's 18th annual three-day festival of music, live theater, food, amusements, crafts, free trolley rides, a petting zoo and more. Starts 6pm Friday in Shappell Park with Island dance music by Cairo. Continuing the rest of the weekend at Walters Park. Saturday is Irish Day with Irish step dancers, while other entertainment includes country music from Crazy Heart, Bowl-A-Soul with the Funky Horns, and a Billy Joel tribute band featuring singer Robert Eric from Broadway's "Movin' Out." Italian Day on Sunday, with the Phillipsburg Summer Youth Theatre performing scenes from "Grease," The Vince Pettinelli Orchestra, The Players, Lucky 7, and John Richetta's Tempo Italiano radio program broadcasting live from the culture tent.
