See how cane chair seats can be restored by hand. Richard Jones will demonstrate his craft. The stonehouse, which was utilized in the 1820’s as a schoolhouse, will also be open for tours between 1 & 4pm. It is one of 2 sites that MARCH maintains, taken over during Tocks Is. and which became part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area.
The Foster- Armstrong House at 320 River Road with refurbished exhibits will also be open at that time. Exhibits at the site reflect various aspects of the Delaware River Valley’s heritage, and of Montague’s past.
