Zydeco-A-Go-Go in concert. What is Zydeco? It's a syncopated dance music played by Creole French speaking people of African descent who historically lived on the prairies of Southwest Louisiana. At its core, it is the sound of an accordion paired with the scrapping of a rubboard. Presented by the Centenary Performing Arts Guild, Zydeco-A-Go-Go is a 5-piece dance band specializing in zydeco, Cajun, and New Orleans rhythm & blues. Drums, bass, guitar, sax, accordion and rubboard create a pulsating energy of pure Louisiana dance music. 8pm; Centenary Little Theatre, Centenary College, 400 Jefferson Street, Hackettstown.
