Madagascar, the island nation off the east coast of Africa, is home to plants and animals found no where else on earth. Yet, 90% of its forests have been burned for farming and grazing to feed a growing population.
Bonnie Tillery, NJ Chapter Population Issues Coordinator, will talk about her recent Sierra Club study tour to this magical island. Find out what the people of Madagascar are doing to protect their special resources in one of the world's environmental hotspots.
Admission is free and the public is invited.
