Washington Celebrates America. With continuing construction at the Middle School in Washington Borough, this year�s festivities will be shuffled around a bit. The Orange Crate Derby and the Parade, which both take place along Broad Street, will not be affected. However, the Evening Band Concert and Fireworks will take place at Warren County Community College, and the Battle of Bands will be held at the Borough Park. There will be no fair hosted by St. Joseph�s this year. Orange Crate Derby: To sign up, pick up a registration form at Washington Borough Hall. Qualification Races: Sat., 7/1 (rain date July 2). Final Races: Tues., 7/4 (rain date 7/8). Set-up time is 7:30am; competition starts at 8am. Location: Broad Street. Parade: Tues., 7/ 4 (rain date 7/8). Line up from 2pm; Step off is at 3pm. Location: Broad St./Belvidere Ave./Carlton Ave. Band Concerts: Tues., 7/4 (rain date 7/8). Battle of the Bands, 1-6pm; location: Borough Park. Allentown Band, Inc., 7:20-9pm; location: Warren County Community College. Fireworks: begin at dark on Tues., 7/4 (rain date 7/8). Location: Warren County Community College.
