We will be hiking across Kanouse Mountain with a lunch break at the summit. This sounds more difficult then it is! The hike will be slow-paced with many stops to examine points of interest and unique natural features. The full route is about 4 miles and we will finish by 2:00 PM. Bring lunch and a drink.







Hikers will meet 10AM at the NJ Transit park-and-ride lot on Old Rt. 23 in West Milford. From the north or south take Rt. 23 to the light at Old Rt. 23 (just south of Union Valley Rd). Follow this road east about 200 yards to the parking lot on the right. No pre-registration required. Please arrive before 10:00 to ensure a prompt start.
