Stefano Crema will discuss the national Cool Cities Campaign. Cool Cities Campaign is an
approach to energy conservation designed to fight global warming at the municipal level.The Campaign focuses on three strategies: cleaner vehicles, energy efficiency, and renewable energy. Started in Seattle in 2005, more than 300 cities nationwide,including 23 in New Jersey,have signed on to the Cool Cities Campaign, in which mayors pledge to reduce carbon dioxide pollution in their communities to 7 percent below 1990 levels by 2012.
