Veteran’s Day Hike with Skylands CLEAN



Skylands CLEAN invites you to join us for a hike to enjoy the cool crisp fall air in Ramapo Mountain State Forest on Veteran’s Day, Saturday, November 11th, 2006. Join Associate Director Eve Tomczak for this moderate 3-mile hike through Ramapo Mountain State Forest, which includes drops and rises in elevation on a scenic rocky trail down to the beautiful Ramapo Lake. Both beginners as well as seasoned hikers can enjoy this hike, but must be in good physical condition.



We will meet at 10:45am at the Ramapo Mountain State Forest parking lot at the top of Skyline Drive in Oakland. From I-287 take exit 57 for Skyline Drive and please note that this is not the lower lot by I-287 but the lot 1.5 miles from I-287 at the top of Skyline Drive. The hike will begin at 11am with a lunch break at Ramapo Lake and end at the same parking lot. Please layer clothing and dress for the weather, bring appropriate footwear and bring plenty of water to drink. Also bring a lunch to enjoy by the lake!
