The West Milford Community Garden is holding its first meeting of the year. The community garden, located at Apple Acres on Union Valley Rd, host approximately 30 plots, used by the gardeners to grow a variety of fruit, vegetables and herbs... all in an exclusively organic manner.

The annual fee for the plot ($35 or $60 depending upon the size) includes use of all of the tools at the garden, free manure for fertilizer and wood chips for pathways, spring fed water for irrigation, monthly classes, periodic social/special events, and lots of guidance/support from fellow gardeners.

The meeting is open to all. It will be an opportunity to learn about the garden, ask questions, and join the garden. Participation in the garden is on a first come, first served basis.
