A very special invitation
“Greenwood Forest Farms is a shining example of the endurance of community in the very best sense of the word. For 87 years, through economic depression and racial discrimination Greenwood Forest Farms is a community that has survived. Today the second and third generations of those visionary founders from New York have come to honor and memorialize their ancestors, to bring wider attention to the remarkable history of their community and to take steps to ensure that it will survive in the decades to come”.
— Dr. Richard Hull
NYU Professor of Africa-American Studies
