Diana Gibson, New Jersey Highlands Artist

Diana Gibson is an award-winning painter working en plein air and alla prima techniques. Her style of work is reminiscent of the late 19th and early 20th century American Impressionism movement. Her work is often described as expressing a masterful sense of prismatic light and atmospheric qualities. Her subjects vary from plein air painting to studio work such as northlit still life and portraiture. Ms. Gibson received her formal art education from master artist, John Phillip Osborne. Diana's work has been exhibited in New York City at various shows including the American Artists Professional League, Hudson Valley Art Association, and Allied Artists of America. She has been the recipient of many awards, most notably Best of Show, The Grumbacher Gold Medal as well as other commendable honors. Diana is the founder of the Plein Air Painters of the New Jersey Highlands.
